Watched the Spanish thriller series 'The Innocent' based on a Harlan Coben novel.

The plot is about a man whose life takes a turn when he accidentally ends up killing a man while trying to stop a brawl. After serving four years in prison, he tries to rebuild his life and falls in love. Nine years later, when the married couple is expecting a child and all seems to be going well, a photo from his wife's phone finds drags him into her past and it gets more and more mysterious as the pages of her past keep turning and pulling him into a maze.

This is an 8 episode series and the story is gripping, keeps the viewer glued till the end. The most interesting aspect is the telling of the story from a different character's POV in each episode. Some scenes are brutal, viewer discretion is advised especially when it comes to abuse scenes. These could have been made a little less gory. Casting and acting is fantastic, one would feel empathy for the man trying to find out, what was happening. The music is decent, camera work is good and screenplay is amazing.

Highly recommended.
